INTERMITTENT FASTING?

What is intermittent fasting? Think of intermittent fasting as lifestyle and not a diet.  In this particular lifestyle, you only eat during a specific time. For example, you may choose to eat lunch at 12pm and dinner at 6pm.  In between you may eat but eating is discouraged. However, you can can drink liquids like water, coffee or tea (which have not calories or preservatives) at anytime throughout the day. It is encouraged to drink plenty of fluid through out the day. This is known as wet fasting.
When not eating for prolonged time of period in a day, such as 12+ hours. Body gets a chance to start burning fat instead of relying on constant energy (calories) taken in by frequent meals.  Intermittent fasting help body maintain weight, run efficient and may prevents many diseases including metabolic syndrome and cancers.
There are man different ways you can do intermittent fasting as it fits your lifestyle.  You have to try different options and pick that works for you. It is a good idea to spend sometime and educate your self on Do’s and Don’ts of intermittent fasting to ensure you get the most benefit out of it.
